We’re not all backwater, infantile, and intolerant. But I get what you mean. I would rather say that it’s acknowledging how infantile and stupid the Republican party has become.
I’m hoping that someone (a candidate? or a candidate’s supporter?) brought most of the people in that particular audience with the instruction to express displeasure whenever Dr. Paul spoke. In which case, these people should not only apologize to the people of South Carolina, but to Christians everywhere.
If not, well. I pity the others who agree with the Golden Rule but weren’t there that night to voice out their agreement. And the Republican Party, for being so willfully blind.
Regardless, the only way South Carolina will redeem itself in my eyes is if they make Dr. Paul the winner in this primary.
Ron Paul won the enmity of the audience for defending the Golden Rule and the rule of law.
